So it has been a very interesting 6 weeks since I was here last…. I have been sick, sick sick, sick of being sick & it goes on. But change is on the horizon… So much has happened & so much has been running through my mind. Sunday, we leave the Gold Coast for Melbourne….. I cannot wait to get in that car & just drive !!! But I want to send a great BIG thank you to the universe that this is even possible….

Also, starting on Sunday I am going to try to do this…

A lot of peeps have been doing it & I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon ! I will be carrying it out mostly on Instagram but I will share some of my photos with you here…

My Pa…

I have been going through old photos at home & scanning them to keep a record…there are so many amazing photos & it scares me that they could be so easily lost (some probably have been lost already) this is my Pa, when he was very young between the years of 1939 - 1946…. He always had a cheeky smile & would walk around whistling & singing to himself…a very happy chap indeed…

from top left : Pa on the right, doing the washing, cigarette hanging out of his mouth: Pa on the right again (obviously): Pa standing on the steps (middle of the group, ciggee hanging out of his mouth again): Pa on the right, looking dashing in his uniform…

I just love the whole feel of the day, the bride’s dress, her headpiece, the BOOTS!, the grooms style, the beautiful wood decor, mason jars & the love… the.love.

Pa’s War Medals - John (Jack) Locking

I was talking to a friend about the lost diggers story I saw on channel 7 a few months ago - if you missed it have a read over here  »>

I couldn’t believe that our own government didn’t show any interest in having a record of these incredibly insightful images, (luckily the channel 7 boss did & you can see the images here - http://www.facebook.com/lostdiggers ) but it got me thinking, I didn’t know much at all about my own family ‘s history….. while the above story is on WW1 my Pa was in WW2… so I’m starting with my Pa (my mothers father) I have scanned & photographed his War medals & I hope to get some images of him from that time as well….

this is my salute to you Pa. Thankyou.

love e
